How to select multiple files on Mac

Listen

To select multiple files on a Mac, follow these steps:

  1. Find the files that you want to select. You can do this by using the “Finder” app or by opening the folder that contains the files.

  2. Use the “Shift” key to select a range of files. To do this, click on the first file that you want to select, hold down the “Shift” key, and then click on the last file in the range. All of the files between the two files that you clicked on will be selected.

  3. Use the “Command” key to select individual files. To do this, hold down the “Command” key and click on each file that you want to select.

  4. Use the “Command” + “A” keyboard shortcut to select all of the files in the current folder.

  5. Use the “Command” + “D” keyboard shortcut to deselect all of the files.

You can then perform an action on the selected files, such as moving, copying, or deleting them.

Please note that the steps may vary slightly depending on the version of MacOS that you are using and the app or folder that you are using to view the files.
