How to remove sim card from iPhone

Listen

To remove the SIM card from an iPhone, follow these steps:

  1. Find the SIM card tray on the side of your iPhone.

  2. Insert the SIM eject tool or a paperclip into the small hole next to the tray. If you don’t have a SIM eject tool, you can also use a straightened paperclip or a needle.

  3. Push the SIM eject tool or paperclip into the hole until the SIM tray pops out.

  4. Carefully pull the SIM tray out of the iPhone.

  5. Grasp the SIM card by the edges and gently pull it out of the tray.

  6. If you want to put the SIM card back into the iPhone, place it in the tray with the gold contacts facing down, and then push the tray back into the iPhone.

Please note that you should only remove the SIM card from your iPhone if it is necessary, such as if you want to switch to a different carrier or if you are giving the iPhone to someone else. Removing the SIM card will disconnect the iPhone from your carrier’s network, and you will not be able to make or receive calls or use the internet until you install a new SIM card.
